Thin Brick Installation in New Jersey

VIDA Construction installs thin brick veneer on residential and commercial exteriors throughout Ocean County, Monmouth County, and surrounding New Jersey communities.

What thin brick is

Thin brick is a veneer product made from real brick, cut or formed into a thin profile. It looks like traditional brick cladding but weighs far less and takes up far less depth, which means it can be installed on walls and surfaces where a full brick wall would not be practical.

For New Jersey homes, that makes thin brick a practical way to add brick character to a facade, entry wall, column, or wall feature without rebuilding the structure behind it.

Where thin brick is installed

  • Exterior facades and partial facade re-facing
  • Entry walls, columns, and porch surrounds
  • Chimney surrounds and wall features
  • Fireplace surrounds and interior accent walls

Thin brick or stone veneer?

Both are veneer products installed over a prepared surface, so the difference is mainly in the look. Thin brick keeps the coursing, color, and rhythm of traditional brick. Stone veneer gives you natural or manufactured stone texture instead. We install both, so if you are deciding between them, tell us what you are going for and we can talk through the options before anything is ordered.

The installation process

01

Site review and brick selection

We look at the surface being covered and help you choose a brick color, blend, and joint finish.

02

Surface preparation

The substrate is prepared so the thin brick has a sound, properly detailed base before installation.

03

Layout and setting

Coursing is laid out and the thin brick is set to the agreed pattern, with corners and edges detailed to match.

04

Mortar joints and finishing

Joints are struck, the surface is cleaned, and the finished work is reviewed before we close out the project.

Thin brick is a low-maintenance finish. Keeping the surface and mortar joints clean and addressing any cracking or water intrusion promptly helps preserve its appearance over time.
